Architecture Flow Definitions
device identification (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
An identifier and device type designation that is used to uniquely identify a device in the Connected Vehicle Environment.
permission application (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
A request for permission to access a Connected Vehicle service by an end–user that requires enrollment. This may include services granted to drivers of low emissions vehicles or pedestrians with special needs that require extended crossing times for example.
permission application receipt (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
An acknowledgment that an end–user application for a Connected Vehicle service was received and processed.
personal device commands (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
System–level control commands issued to field equipment such as reset and remote diagnostics.
personal device configuration settings (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Control settings and parameters that are used to configure personal devices that are used by transportation professionals.
personal device software install/upgrade (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
This flow supports installation and update of software residing in ITS roadway equipment. It supports download of the software installation files, including executable code and associated support files.
personal device status (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Reports from personal devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) that are used by transportation professionals. The flow provides current operational status.
