Nevada DOT - Headquarters
Description
NDOT Headquarters is located in Carson City, within District 2. HQ maintains a statewide vehicle accident database archive and manages the 511 program. HQ also provides policy direction and technical support to all of the Districts in the state of Nevada.
NDOT Headquarters is the primary agency facilitating each of the three Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coalitions in the state; northern urban, southern urban, and statewide. TIM efforts have helped to facilitate more coordinated response and quicker clearance/restoring of travel lanes throughout the state. TIM efforts are planned to be continued in the state between transportation agencies, law enforcement agencies, and various services to respond to incidents (such as towing) on the state, county, and local levels.
