Description
This ITS element represents the field equipments deployed throughout the state in rural areas. NDOT has field equipment (road weather, detection, DMS, rain/flood sensors, solar feedback signs, adaptive roadside lighting, automated chain control signs, detection warning system for curve warnin and super elevation, and CVO field equipment at ports of entry or weigh stations, etc.). There are a number of software systems that provide information to the NDOT NDEX, including but not limited to NDOT's CSS software for ITS field equipment and FLIR camera software for camera images.
